Hello and welcome to my weather station website. This website will provide you with local weather conditions near the Oak Canyon Nature Center which is located in Anaheim, California. In addition to this website, you can find recorded data on other websites such as Weather Underground, PWS Weather, Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP), and Twitter.

About This Station

This station is powered by a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Plus Weather Station. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of the follow sensors: Outdoor Temperature, Outdoor Humidity, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Rain, Barometric Pressure, Solar Radiation, and UV Radiation. The webcam used is a TRENDnet TV-IP310PI. The webcam is connected via POE and is pointed in a northwesterly direction.

The station is located near the Oak Canyon Nature Center in the City of Anaheim; hence the name "Oak Canyon Weather Station." It is mounted at my residence at about 841' above sea level. This weather station is not affiliated with the nature center or the City of Anaheim.

Below are some photos of the weather station and how its mounted at my residence.

Data is sent to the Vantage Pro2 console via the solar powered transmitter that can be seen in the picture above.

The mount used here is a Winegard SW-002 Gable End Mount with a 1.75" diameter mass.

The Davis Vantage Pro2 Console is mounted in the garage and it receives the data from the weather station. I am using Davis' WeatherLinkIP Data Logger, which connects to my local network. Weather Display Software runs on a local server which reads the date from the console and sends it to the website via FTP.
